INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY INVESTMENT REGION (ITIR) DEVELOPMENTS IN HYDERABAD

The project likely to position Hyderabad as a premier IT Investment destination globally.

Highlights of ITIR
Three clusters in One ITIR - CDA, HADA(including  Maheshwaram) and Uppal Pocharam -Connected by the Growth Corridors along the Outer Ring Road
Growth Projections
IT/ITES Sector Growth from Rs.54,000 Crores to Rs..... by 2035
EHM- Electronic Hardware Manufacturing growth from Current level of Rs.6000 Crores  to Rs.80,000
Employment
IT/ITES Sector growth from 3 Lakhs employees to 17Lakhs employees (additional 14 Lakhs employment).
EHM- Electronic Hardware Manufacturing employee growth from 40,000 to 1.5 Lakhs ( additional employment of 1.1Lakhs )

·    ITIRs Includes Special Economic Zones (SEZs), Industrial Parks, Free Trade Zones, warehousing zones, Export Oriented Units, growth centers, existing settlements  industries and estates/services.
·         The ITIR is required to be developed in two phases over a period of 25 years.
·        Government of Andhra Pradesh submitted a proposal on 08.10.2010 to DEIT, Govt of India for establishing ITIR in an area of 202 sq.kms (50,000 acres), comprising certain areas such as Cyberabad Development Authority (CDA), including Gachibowli and Madhapur; Hyderabad Airport Development Authority (HADA) including Mamidipalli, Raviryal, Adibatla and Maheswaram; Uppal and Pocharam.

·        Benefits of ITIR :

·              Direct Revenues – Rs.310,849 crores
·              IT Investment potential – Rs.219,440 crores
·              IT Exports – Rs.235,000 crores
·              Direct employment – nearly 15 lakhs
·              Indirect employment – nearly 53 lakhs

·              Increase in tax revenue to State – Rs.30,170 crores
